Director, Software Engineering

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the talented Software Development Engineers and Managers of the Seller systems team in a hands-on capacity to deliver solutions that enhance Seller experience
• Collaborate with cross functional teams consisting of Product Managers, Designers, and Business teams for building and executing product strategy
• Ensure business value is delivered by measuring and prioritizing well
• Own technology strategy and vision for the Seller Systems team

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
• 10+ years’ experience planning, designing, developing and delivering software
• 5+ years of people management experience, leading technical professionals including software developers, development managers, and/or technical program managers in a global company
• Computer Science fundamentals in system architecture, problem-solving, and complexity analysis with proficiency in, at least, one modern programming language such as Java, JavaScript, Scala, Kotlin, or Python
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences in English
• Experience working in cross-functional projects as a Manager
• Experience researching for opportunities, initiating and driving projects independently
• Proven track record of driving strategy, vision and delivering results
