Strong Middle/ Senior Full Stack Engineer

We are helping our client perform a search for a Strong Middle/ Full Stack Engineer at Giftswitch. Giftswitch is on the path to becoming a leading gift card marketplace in the US & Canada and we’re looking for the person who will be a technical leader and heart of the product.

This is a full-time remote opportunity for a person who is seeking to combine their technical experience with product, business & leadership skills.

Must have:

3+ years of commercial experience with back-end development*
2+ years of commercial experience with Javascript (Vanilla and React, Angular or Vue)
Strong experience with SQL
Working knowledge of Linux
Strong experience with Restful APIs
Client service attitude and experience
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipeline and testing
Fluent English (written and spoken)
Ability to work remotely and independently
Strong communication skills
Lean product development experience & product mind
Comfortable working directly with the product founder
Comfortable working EST hours

Would be a plus:

MySQL experience
Experience with privacy preserving technologies & crypto
Experience with nginx, jetty and plot.ly
Working knowledge of AWS
Experience of building microservices based architecture
Experience of working in startups and/or developing own digital product

Responsibilities:

Reports directly to the CEO and board
Steward of all Giftswitch tech and infrastructure, the buck stops at you!
Should be flexible to work on needs from sister companies
