Senior Backend Software Engineer (Python) for a Proptech Startup

You’ll be working directly with a world class team, with people from companies like Uber, Microsoft, SumUp, Revolut, Loft and Careem.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer who has experience with Python (ideally Django) who can lead complex backend engineering tasks, familiar with the best testing practices, experienced in writing REST calls using JSON serialization, familiar with Agile methodologies, can communicate effectively in English and knows how to deploy to production.

Responsibilities:

• Lead backend development for a complex project
• Quick iteration by submitting well tested correct python Django code for review
• Ability to create and update storage database according to requirements
• Review other code reviews and make sure the code we write is correct and well tested
• Can deploy well tested code to production
• Work effectively with other engineers and product managers and drive progress to the project

Requirements:

• 3-7 years experience (ideal 7+)
• Effective english communication
• Experienced with Agile Methodologies
• Experienced with REST and JSON
• Experienced with best testing practices
• Experienced with Github
• Experienced with sql storage
• Can write well tested python django code and deploy it
• Can review other engineers pull requests and mentor and onboard new engineers
• Can collaborate well with PMs and other Engineers and is a team player
